littleBits modules quickly create a colorful and animated Christmas scene

This proof of concept convinces me that, once I buy my Christmas tree, I can use this design to welcome visitors into my home. However, the roller switch had a little play on the Velcro, so I need to design a more secure attachment for repeated use. Also, in a setup such as this, the servo is not likely to last long because of the pressure needed to flip the power switch.
The littleBits team is constantly releasing new modules. My first option would have been to use an IR transmitter [9] with an IR outlet [10]. They were not yet available while I was building this project, but they should be in the shop soon.
