Touring the Asian Rasp Pi scene

India, Hong Kong, and Other Countries

In addition to the bigger Jams, many smaller user groups exchange information and distribute information. For example, Arduino and Raspberry Pi groups meet sporadically in Pune, India [4]. Occasionally, someone will give an introductory workshop; another workshop might describe how to create a digital thermometer; or there might be an introduction to different kinds of hardware, including a Beaglebone Black board.

Such events also occur in Hong Kong but on a smaller scale. The Hong Kong Linux User Group, the HKLUG [5], however, once put on an introductory Raspberry Pi Jam to acquaint local high school students with the subject matter of high technology.

It's clear that larger Jams sometimes emerge out of smaller events and meetings. Readers who cannot find a Jam in their area should consider starting a small user group, because the group could quickly grow into a larger organization.
