Using the Raspberry Pi as a smart alarm clock
Outlook
This article is intended to encourage you to come up with your own ideas and projects. The web application is limited to the basics and offers plenty of room for improvement.
Possible improvements could be a snooze function, or you could exchange the button you press to turn off the alarm for a motion sensor so that the alarm turns itself off as soon as you get out of bed. The LED strip can also be used for more than a simulation of a sunrise. For example, you could use it as an automatic nightlight controlled by a motion sensor.
In all, the Rasp Pi alarm clock project has lots of potential for further experimentation. Good luck, and have fun.
